Our initiatives include:

• Promoting Value-Added Agriculture

  • Attract a new generation of farmers

• Property Tax Reform

  • Iowa's property tax laws were made when 50 acres of farm land could provide a substantial living for a family.

  • While agriculture has changed substantially, Iowa's restrictive property tax laws have not.

• Comprehensive Water Quality Initiative for all of Iowa

  • While other aspects of our environment have improved over the past decade our water has continued to decline.

  • Many sources of water pollution such as municipalities, golf courses, lawn fertilizers, and row crop producers have been underregulated by Iowa's laws.
